Ballet and Contemporary

Our ballet classes follow the BBO Dance curriculum. We mix in contemporary and creativity time to all of our classes.

What a year we have had in Minane Bridge. We hope all our student have a fantastic summer ☀️🏖️

Most of our dancers won’t become professional dancers.

And that’s okay. ❤️

Because dance is about so much more than a career.

It’s about building confidence to stand tall.
It’s about learning resilience when things don’t go to plan.
It’s about teamwork, friendships and belonging.
It’s about discovering creativity, discipline and self-belief.
It’s about finding joy in movement and making memories that last a lifetime.

If one day they choose to dance professionally, we’ll be cheering the loudest.

But if they leave our classes as kind, confident, resilient young people who believe in themselves…

Then we’ve done our job. ✨

While the seniors were focused on performing, a group of little dancers stood quietly in the wings, completely captivated. They weren’t just watching a dance. They were watching their future.

At Dance Concepts, confidence grows from seeing others go first. Today’s little dancers are tomorrow’s role models, performers and leaders. ✨

My mam thought her dance mam duties would be finished when I turned 18.

After years of dance classes, exams, costumes, hair buns, long car journeys and sitting in theatre seats, I think she thought she’d finally earned her retirement. 😂

Instead, she’s somehow found herself helping to run dance showcases for hundreds of children.

Nearly 30 years old and I’m still saying:

“Mam, can you give me a hand with this?”

And thankfully, the answer is always yes. ❤️

Behind every successful showcase is an incredible team of teachers, volunteers and helpers.

But behind me is a mam who has been cheering me on since my very first dance class.

Some things never change. ✨
